Schmidt, founder of Prophecy Focus Ministries, who was a mentee, student, and dear friend of Dr. Jimmy DeYoung Sr., contacted Dr. Jimmy DeYoung Jr., also a dear friend, and suggested the lectures of Dr. DeYoung Sr. be brought up to date in a book format. Dr. Schmidt brings his unique background of 32 years in law enforcement, including his position as acting Sheriff for 1.5 years in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, plus over 50 years in ministry, and two earned theological doctorates to the project.
